Akidere Co. is an indie art studio based in California co-founded by a married couple with a passion for the simple things in life. The artist of the studio Autumn is a self-taught digital artist inspired by cozy farming games and nostalgia for the countryside. The studio manager Coby, keeps the creative wheels turning, handling the business side so Autumn can focus on bringing her visions to life.

Growing up, Autumn often visited her Grandparents. One pair which lived in the California countryside; where she would chase and cuddle her Grandma's chickens, walked through the nearby olive farms, visited the small town coffee shop, played cozy farming games with her Grandparents, listened to her Grandpa sing and play his guitar, and drew pictures in her Grandpa's music room. The other pair would always tell her stories of their life on their farm in South Dakota, sharing adventures they would have and the life they built; inspiring Autumn to draw nature pictures while she visited.  Autumn's art is a love letter to the beauty of these simple moments, her style shaped by the whimsy of rual life.

Akidere is an invented name inspired by the the Italian verb accadere (ah-kah-DEH-reh) meaning "to happen, fall" which is a direct descendent of the Latin verb accidere (ak-KEE-deh-reh.) This word to us resonates with the cycles of nature, just as the leaves fall and new growth begins. The name Akidere is a nod to Autumn's heritage and the countryside memories that shaped her. Visiting her Grandparents and playing farming games instilled in her a love for nature's cycles and simple moments. To us, Akidere evokes the beauty of change, growth, and new beginnings.
